If you are in the race to impress the large business customers with your business communication services, you have to make your services flawless so as to avoid the dropped calls, security breaches and cross-talks. After all, being a brand name you have to maintain your business telephony standards.
You may have heard VOIP phones being criticized for inconsistent performance and moreover the technology has received a few black eyes by the business giants.According to a source, “The roots of the VOIP insurrection trace back to four synchronistic events in 1968”. After this black spot on the VOIP technology, there was an alarming need of a successor to grab the throne of “Business class telephony system”.
Thereafter, in mid 90’s; VOIP PBX hit the business phone market. In this innovation, the VOIP has been fused along with the IP telephony which depends on it and is used to make the communications more reliable and with improved quality of service (QoS). Moreover, a rich feature base has been added to VOIP PBX technology thatelects it as an assured enterprise-wide asset. It thus delivers the call control and security that differentiate an IP Telephony call with one that is just using VOIP.
A more detailed IP PBX telephony
During a VOIP call, the speech is originally captured as analog information by a phone receptor. It is then converted into digital information, compressed, and isdivided into voice packets for transmission. The whole process is relatively fast, easy and reliable. Moreover, the voice packets are prioritized over the data packets.
After this procedure, if any problems happen; they’ll be there at the receiving end where the packets get reassembled in the correct order. Even minor glitches in transmission can cause a VOIP call to break with delays in between the words. And, in the worst case, the transmission will become so overwhelmed by problems that the connection will simply fail.
If properly brought out, the calls from an IP PBX system will have the quality of an audio CD.
Hosting can take all the pains away
If you want to implement the Hosted VOIP PBX in your company, you have two ways to do that. Out of them; although the Premise based PBX gives all the configuration controls in your hands and is best for large firms in a long run, but the hosted PBX can take all your pains away. In the hosted systems, the set-up, maintenanceand upgradation is sustained by the service provider. The provider carries out 24×7 monitoring of the system and corrects the issues before the user gets to know about them. Henceforth, if you are a budding firm and you have an employee base of not more than 50, you should go for Hosted PBX VOIP services. You should not forget this thing that if your organization has many branches which are located across different locations, you should avail the hosted service from one service provider. After all, it is the quality of service and support what matters the most.
